Construction Explanation of Gaoxin Brand Hot-melt Road Mark Coatings

1. Notices for the construction of hot-melt road marking paint:

1. Preparations must be made before construction. Open the line positioning to be accurate, set up a special person to review.

2. Mechanical inspection is required before construction. Special checks are made on the following aspects:

(1) Cooling water level of diesel engine (cold boiling water or softening water should be used for water addition)

(2) Lubricating oil level (please use domestic 30 # oil for refueling)

(3) Fuel oil level (please use domestic 0# or 10# diesel oil for refueling)

(4) Line marking vehicle must be coated (adjusting film thickness and line width)

_Glass bead disperser (check whether the uniformity and quantity of glass beads are satisfactory. Is there any obstruction? )

3. Define the responsibilities of the construction personnel

4. Keep construction records. The following are recorded:

Pavement and air temperature, humidity (%) of the day, weather conditions, wind direction, road conditions (road type, clean or not), melting temperature of paint, dosage of paint. The construction length and coating rate are calculated.

5. Pavement needs to be clean and dry.

6. When the base oil needs to be coated, the solvent can be volatilized to coat the hot-melt coating.

7. Monitor road surface temperature and temperature at any time. When the pavement temperature is below 10 C, please stop construction! When the pavement temperature is above 25 C, the paint temperature can be controlled between 170 C and 190 C. If the pavement temperature is lower than 25 C, the coating temperature should be controlled between 190 C and 210 C.

8. Don't overheat the paint in the hot-melt kettle or marking car. Paint temperature must not exceed 200 C! When the thermometer of hot melt kettle fails, construction is not allowed.

9. The paint in the hot-melt kettle should be stirred evenly (the paint should be stirred for 10 minutes after melting before discharging)

10. Different types of coatings should not be mixed (different colors or manufacturers). The hot-melt kettle needs to be clean before it can be replaced with another kind of paint

11. Check construction effect at any time

(1) Whether the thickness of base oil is appropriate, too little cohesion is not enough, too much will dissolve the pavement (asphalt pavement)

(2) Whether the marking thickness meets the requirements.

(3) Whether the glass beads are evenly distributed and whether the amount of beads is enough (the recommended dosage is 450 g (+50 g) per square metre)

(4) Appearance and cohesion of markings.

(5) Whether the marking position and size meet the requirements.

12. Samples with more than three markings should be taken for each working day.

II. Hot-melt Road Marking Coatings Construction Machinery

The company's hot-melt road marking coatings meet the requirements of the Ministry of Communications JT/T 280-2004 standard, suitable for the construction of domestic and foreign conventional hot-melt road marking coatings construction machinery.

The General requirements are:

Hot-melt kettle: It should have heating, stirring and temperature control functions to ensure that the paint will not be overheated or jammed.

(2) Base Oil Coating Machine: It can ensure the film thickness of base oil spraying ruler (generally about 0.1 mm, but the thickness of base oil can be adjusted appropriately according to the actual situation)

(3) Line marking car: It should be able to heat, moisturize, line and remove glass beads.

3. The theoretical coating rate of hot-melt marking coatings:

Hot-melt marking paint: 4kg/m (150mm line width, 1.5mm thickness,) base oil:

The dosage was 0.2 kg/m (linewidth 200 mm, thickness 0.1 mm). Glass beads: 0.45 kg/m

4. Acceptance requirements for marking:

After completion, the marking line will conform to the required size (length, width, thickness): neat and clean edge cutting, bright color, glass beads should be firmly distributed on the surface (too few beads will affect night reflectivity, too many will cause crisp menstruation, easy to stick dirty)

Acceptance criteria (for reference only)

Linewidth: not 10% larger or 5% less than standard size

(2) Line length: The error with standard size should not be greater than 0.2%.

(3) Adhesion: The marking should be firmly bonded to the road surface. If it is easy to be shoveled up by a gray knife, and there is no asphalt or base oil adhesion on the back of the marking material, it can be considered that the bonding force is not enough.

V. Life of Marking Lines

When the hot melt marking paint is determined, the lifetime of the marking is proportional to the thickness and inversely proportional to the traffic flow. Gaoxin brand hot-melt road marking paint thickness is 1.5mm, traffic flow less than 20000 vehicles per day (medium load), generally durable for more than two years (asphalt pavement). Usually, the evaluation of marking life is based on the intact rate. (The following data are for reference only)

The intact rate should be more than 99% when the line is checked and accepted just after construction.

(2) The intact rate should be maintained at least 90% within half a year.

(3) Within one year of marking, the intact rate should be maintained at least 75%.

(4) After one year of marking, the intact rate should be maintained at 60%.

VI. Storage of Coatings

Hot-melt road marking coatings are not suitable for long-term storage. Generally, after manufacture, the construction effect is good within three months. If used for more than half a year, the quality will be affected (such as yellowing of color, rising of softening point, decreasing of material plasticity, etc.). Products stored for more than one year can not be reused without treatment.
